When I first saw Constance, I was in daily pain, due to severe arthritis in my left knee. I had already had a replacement in my right knee and was hoping for a different solution for my left knee. I learned about acupuncture at a seminar presented by Angela, the treatment coordinator for Still Waters Healing Center. Even though I did not like needles, I was willing to try it, if it might help with my pain.
Constance is a remarkable person as well as a remarkable Acupuncture Physician. She took a thorough history and explained how acupuncture could help improve health overall as well as relieve pain.Most of the time, you don’t feel the needles and, if you do, it’s for a nanosecond. Constance has a remarkable touch and uses other things that I can’t even spell to aid in your treatment.
My initial visit was the end of October 2008. About the 4th or 6th treatment, she took me from knife stabbing pain to zero pain, and I was amazed, to say the least. Constance is very humble and gives God the credit for the healing. My pain returned after 4 days of no pain (which was the longest I had been pain free in such a long time), but with continuing treatment my left knee has been pain free since March 2009.
I had an appointment in April with my orthopedist and was able to tell him that I didn’t think I needed a knee replacement. He agreed.

As a 64-year old female who has suffered a lifetime with chronic pain as a result of an automobile accident, plus experiencing a herniated disc as well as developing fibromyalgia, and having trouble with a digestive disorder from the “shelving” of my Shotsky’s Ring, I tried everything that traditional Western medicine had to offer before even considering Eastern medicine.

The Acupuncturists at StillWaters Healing Center have treated me with such warmth, generosity, and expertise that I wouldn’t dare think of going anywhere else! Constance works on my neck pain I’ve had for the last several years due to degenerating disks. After seven months of weekly treatments, I am very happy to say that my pain has reduced and that I only have to take prescription pain medication for my head/neck once every couple weeks (rather than three or four days per week). For every visit, my time on her table has been a highlight of my week. In the weeks ahead, as I visit two times per month, I have no doubt that my body will keep responding to the treatments and that my pain-free weeks will continue.

Effective and Comfortable. That’s the best way to describe the Acupuncture at StillWaters Healing Center. I’m still in disbelief about how well the treatments have made me feel. It’s like I’ve got my life back. Over the past ten years, I have had very few “good” days. The pain and discomfort from Arthritis and Fibromyalgia were ever present and some days, I felt as if I had been run over by a truck. A year ago I was told that I had profound premature ovarian aging. I’m 36 years old. I came to see Constance Fraatz a little over six months ago in hopes to cure my painful periods and premature ovarian aging. Very recently I had an AMH blood test. I came to the StillWaters Healing Center after being diagnosed with a pinched sciatic nerve. My family doctor had given me steroid shots and pills, hot packs, cold packs, and deep massage – all to no avail. It was extremely painful to sit, stand, walk or even lie down. With his approval, I decided to try Acupuncture. Upon my initial visit, my complete medical history was reviewed and I was evaluated. After that first treatment I decided to continue on.
